A short clip of Green Day’s new song video surfaces
Green Day’s "Oh Love" video doesn’t premiere until Wednesday, but a sneak peek of the new video is available on the internet — the video gives out a hint that Billie Joe Armstrong wasn’t joking about that whole "crotch area" thing.
The video has been directed by Samuel Bayer and he has done an impressive job. The video shows Mike Dirnt, Armstrong, and Tre Cool up to their elbows in beautiful — and sufficiently tattooed — models, who unenergetically lounge around a rundown party space
while the guys rock out.
It’s all in keeping with the rather salacious spirit of the song itself, which Armstrong summed up to MTV News last month as "leading with your heart and not necessarily your brain … and maybe losing your mind, and shooting a little bit more from the crotch
area."
The "Oh Love" video will be available this Wednesday, August 15, at 7:49 p.m. ET on MTV, and an exclusive 30-minute interview with Green Day will also be aired, where the band will answer fan-submitted questions and discuss their upcoming trio of new albums,
¡Uno!, ¡Dos! and ¡Tre! They’ll also talk all about the making of the "Oh Love" clip itself ("We had a
good time making it," Armstrong joked. No duh, dude).
