The controversial queen of Pakistani Veena Malik has finally revealed that she signed up for the religious show ‘Astaghfar’ on Hero TV because she wanted to know about the problems of a common man so she could highlight them.
She said, “The answer is simple and very clear – to interact with people and to know their worries.”
Veena Malik’s presence on the religious show initially created an outcry in the country and the channel was forced to drop her. However, later on the actress was brought back on the show.
It was said that Malik has been brought back because public has accepted her now but still a considerable amount of people are against her for what she did in India.
Therefore, Malik decided to address people through this show. The 28-year-old aimed to address “sinful” societal issues while repenting the wrongs that she committed and asking for forgiveness for the things she has been doing in India.
“Firstly, for me, it is social norms and human behaviour in society that is the imperative subject of discussion. How should we behave with other people?”
“What does religion say about how we should act with others? Since I hold a degree in Sociology, this interests me very much,” Pakistan newspaper The Express Tribune quoted her as saying.
During the show the actress received many calls, in which people used abusive language for her and showed their hatred for her but Malik believes this is not what Islam teaches us.
“The way a man speaks or talks to others represents what kind of society we live in; his behaviour shows what sort of person he is and gives the impression that he is definitely living in a very frustrated society.
“We are often told to treat others with respect to beget respect. I definitely feel sympathy for such individuals,” she said.
Well, Veena Malik certainly knows a lot about religion but she didn’t think what about it when she was getting naked in front of the whole world.
