The Pakistani starlet Veena Malik has been the talk of the town since she stepped into one of the most possessed Indian reality TV shows ‘Bigg Boss 4’. The 28-year-old started was not a known personality until she started an affair with Indian actor Ashmit Patel inside the house.
After gaining media limelight during her stint in the ‘Bigg Boss’ house, she started doing more cheap publicity stunts in the country and locked many headlines. She created a storm across the border by appearing nude on the cover page of a popular men’s magazine FHM India with an ISI tattoo on her left shoulder.
Veena remained under discussion and on television shows for a long time due to her photo shoot and became a popular name among the controversial celebrities. However, this was not the end as she kept on doing things like this afterwards as well and today she has started getting lead roles in Bollywood movies.
Many in the industry has said it on several occasions that Veena Malik doesn’t have a pretty face but she is getting leading roles because the directors and producers know she never shies away from taking her clothes off.
There are many other celebrities like Veena in India like Poonam Pandey, Rakhi Sawant and Sherlyn Chopra but Veena has become the most popular among them only due to her Pakistani ethnicity as Indian media knows if she will do anything cheap, people of Pakistan will definitely react in anger.
Veena’s own father has disowned her but perhaps she doesn’t bother about anything.
Recently, a new Pakistani channel ‘Hero TV’ wanted Veena Malik to host a religious show ‘Astagfaar’ during the month of Ramadan but they had to drop her since people of Pakistan reacted strongly.
Veena, not too long ago, stated that she believes in religion and reads Holy Quran with translation but what she does in India is totally prohibited by Islam.
Today Veena Malik has almost five films under her belt. She has also been signed for the Kannada remake of Vidya Balan’s ‘Dirty Picture’, which broke many box office records in India last year.
