Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal is locking many headlines in the country because a lot is being said about his displeasure with his role in Madhur Bhandarkar’s much-anticipated upcoming film ‘Heroine’. Perhaps this is a reason why the actor has spoken out on the rumours revolving around.
‘Heroine’ is a female centric film, which revolves around the life of a once successful film actress, Mahi Arora, whose career is on the decline. The film will feature the ultimate B’town diva Kareena Kapoor in the lead role. Therefore, many out there believe Arjun is unhappy because he knows he is completely being overshadowed in the film.
However, Arjun clears the air by saying that he had a great experience working with Madhur.
While speaking on his inclusion, the 39-year-old actor and a former model stated he knows Kareena is overshadowing him in the film but he has no issues with it. The actor insisted he signed up for the film because he wanted to do something good for the cinema.
“I know Heroine is Kareena’s film; it’s called Heroine not Hero. I am doing this film because it is a wonderful subject. I want to contribute to good cinema and not get selfish about my role. I play a superstar. I have seen how they behave and what they are all about,” said Arjun.
“Madhur has shown many real aspects of the film industry and captured it beautifully, like Kareena’s character’s insecurity about her career. When I sign a film, I look at it in totality. One person can’t make or break a movie,” Arjun further said.
‘Heroine’, which has been given an Adult certificate, is slated to hit the cinema halls on September 21 and along with Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal the film will also feature likes of Randeep Hooda and Shahana Goswami in the lead role.
Well, all said and done, let’s see if ‘Heroine’ really lives up to the expectations of the audiences.
