Sara Naqvi claims Women’s Singles crown at Up State Senior Badminton Championships

India’s emerging Singles shuttler Sara Naqvi displayed her lofty skills on court and remained successful in claiming Women’s Singles crown at the Up State Senior Badminton Championships on August 26, in India.

In the title match, Sara showed a staggering performance and overpowered her team-mate Sanchali Das Gupta in a dominating fashion.

The un-seeded Sara, who remained in tremendous form throughout the tournament, continued playing with control in the final battle and gave a punishing treatment to her higher ranked opponent Sanchali without losing any game.

The impressive Sara was in full swing as she played to positive and composed badminton and remained successful in beating her team-mate in straight sets with a staggering margin on the score board.

In the meanwhile, the top seeded Sanchali could not maintain her supremacy in the court as she faced a tough opposition in the final battle and eventually bowed down to her lower ranked challenger without proving her worth.

In the first set, the spirited Sara played planned and attacking badminton by maintaining her control over the pace and managed to set up a remarkable lead without wasting any time.

The underdog Sara took the bird early from all areas of the court and executed powerful shots quite accurately which helped her to create pressure on her opponent.

The un-seeded Sara was leading the score board with a huge margin until the end of opening half.

Sara continued her roller-coaster run after the break without facing any interruption on court and eventually remained successful in ending up the first game with a tremendous margin of 21-13.

The higher ranked Sanchali tried to play positive badminton in the following set but she failed to control the aggression of her rival and also failed to make a good use of her impressive skills.

On the other hand, Sara was quite calm and composed on court as she played positive badminton and set up a wonderful lead on score board until the break.

The incredible Sara continued her impressive performance after the break and ended the game in a fabulous fashion by a 21-12 margin on the board.

The lower ranked Sara stole the limelight by winning the final battle against Sanchali in straight sets with a crushing margin of 21-13 and 21-12.
