Badminton Hut Valley Age Group Championships: Crissalina Sak smartly claims Girls Singles U13 crown

Crissalina Sak, a spirited young shuttler from New Zealand, made her presence strongly felt as she impressively claimed Singles U13 crown after defeating her compatriot Serene Tan in the title match at 2012 Badminton Hutt Valley Age Group
Championships in New Zealand, on August 26.

The top seeded Crissalina Sak, who remained impressive throughout the tournament, maintained her fabulous performance and easily sent her rival packing by ending up the battle in a completely lopsided fashion.

The higher ranked Crissalina showed her lofty skills on court and she showed no mercy to her opponent throughout the final battle and ended it up in two sets with a stunning margin on the score board.

On the other hand, the lower ranked Serene failed to show her skills and she found herself in all sorts of trouble while playing against the top seed. She could not do much against Crissalina and knelt down before her without creating any trouble.

The impressive Crissalina was in imposing position from the start of the first set and remained successful in creating a wonderful pressure on her rival without showing any sign of confusion.

The top seeded Crissalina remained consistent in her elevated play and eventually got a spectacular lead until the end of first half.

The passionate Crissalina continued her positive player after the break without letting her challenger to close the gap at any stage and took the opening game with a stunning margin of 21-10.

In the second game, the lower ranked Serene tried to play positive and focused badminton but she had no answer to the power play and perfection of her opponent and remained trailing behind until the interval.

After the one-minute break, the higher ranked Crissalina remained on track by keeping the pace of rallies high and she did not face any problem in maintaining pressure on her lower ranked challenger.

In the ending points, Crissalina continued her dominating performance and easily finished off the set with an incredible margin of 21-7.

The spirited Crissalina emerged as the title winner as she defeated Serene in the final battle quite easily with a spectacular 21-10 and 21-7 score on the board.
