Sebastian Bach, who achieved mainstream success as the front-man of Skid Row, has clarified that the press changed the context of his comments, and he never said that his book would be better than Motley Crue’s The Dirt.

The 44-year-old musician wrote a post on his official Facebook page:

“Why does the press always put words in my mouth? You would think I would know better by now. Someone asked me about my book & my answer was exactly this: “I could make ‘The Dirt’ look clean if I wanted to”. Now, every single thing I read about my book says, “Sebastian says his book will surpass Motley Crue’s The Dirt”. Only thing is….I never said that. I don’t even know what kind of book it will be yet. My book has nothing to do with Motley Crue ! I love the Crue but I have not decided if I want my book to be full-on burrito-fucking madness, or something different. I have never used the words “Motley Crue” when talking about my book, until this very post. Thank you, I feel much better”.
