Guild Wars 2 reaches top spot in Europe

NCSoft and ArenaNet announced that the MMORPG, Guild Wars 2, has reached the number one spot in global sales for ten countries across Europe, including Spain and England, markets where the PC game was not positioned as first since 2010 .
Guild Wars 2 – rated at 9.2 on these websites is in the top spot in global sales including UK, Germany, France, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, the Netherlands and Belgium – the major European territories.
“Our games have always been well-received in Europe, but this level of enthusiasm is both awesome and humbling,” said Mike O’Brien, president and co-founder of ArenaNet. “It also impresses upon us the responsibility we have to our players and explains why we’ve taken steps recently to constrain sales of Guild Wars 2 to ensure the highest quality of service. Of course, we hope to remedy this in the near future.”
