The controversial queen of Pakistan, Veena Malik, is in India for the past couple of years but she has said that she misses her homeland ‘terribly’.
“I do miss Pakistan a lot. After all it’s my home. Yesterday, I was thinking of coming back to my country on a vacation for at least 10 days,” The Express Tribune quoted Veena, as saying.
The 28-year-old starlet is currently having a high time in the Hindi cinema since she will be seen in three major Bollywood films this year. She has played a lead role in ‘Supermodel’, ‘Mumbai 125 Km’ and ‘Zindagi 50-50’.
“No matter where I go, I feel like I am home. I thank God that I am no more living out of a suitcase. I personally believe wherever you get love, you feel good. If you get appreciation, it’s always overwhelming. The same is the case with me,” she said.
Veena is hosting a T20 World Cup show in New Delhi for India TV these days and when asked, she said she is happy for both India and Pakistan in the cricketing tournament so far.
“It was a day of double treat for me (when both countries won)!” Veena said.
Apart from the films, Veena Malik is also hogging media limelight for upcoming song ‘Drama Queen’. Her first single will be launched soon and she is very excited ahead of the release.
While sharing thoughts with the media, she said singing has always been her passion and her ultimate dream.
“Live concerts have been planned in places like New Delhi and Mumbai. Performing on stage like a rock star makes me super excited!” she said.
“I never dreamt of becoming a Bollywood star. I am happy, and acting is something I enjoy but my ultimate dream is to become a singer,” she added.
Well, all said and done, let’s see how good Veena Malik performs on the big screens of India.
