The Bankers were unable to maintain their winning streak and eventually lost out to the Islamabad-based side, with Tariq Lutfi’s men taking all three points.

“No doubt the boys played really well. The whole team played like a unit and followed the plan but they did make a mistake in the defence which was capitalised on by the rivals who are a strong outfit,” said NBP boss Nasir Ismail.

“It was a match of high intensity but you know we are fighting against injuries and if you miss your five to six key players then playing a close game with a better side looks graceful,” added the tactician.
