Andy Murray sets up date with Novak Djokovic at the Shanghai Rolex Masters – Tennis News

Olympic gold medallist, Andy Murray from Great Britain, jolted down the top seed Roger Federer to set up a date with the Serbian ace, Novak Djokovic, in the final round at the Shanghai Rolex Masters 2012, an ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) Masters
1000 event held in Shanghai, China. The second seed on the other hand stomped over fourth seeded Tomas Berdych in straight sets to progress.

Seeded third in this event, Murray failed to save the only breakpoint he faced but cashed in three out of 11 break chances, eventually formulating a 6-4, 6-4 score line in one hour and 38 minutes.

Murray commented in a post match press conference:

"He didn’t serve that well for him tonight, so I was able to be very aggressive on his second serve. He maybe slowed down his first serve a little bit, so I was able to take a few more chances. Obviously that helped.”

The former world number one, Djokovic on the other hand got the better of the Czech star in their 12^th meeting. After overpowering in this one hour and 25-minute marathon, Djokovic not only improved to an 11-1 lifetime in the FedEx ATP Head 2
Head Series against Berdych.

The Serbian ace stated in a courtside interview after conquering the Czech number one:

"Obviously it’s a big challenge when you play a Top 10 player. Tomas is in great form the past couple of months. I played tactically right. I was putting a lot of returns into the court, putting a lot of pressure on his serve. On the other hand, I was serving
well when I needed to."

Murray will square off against the Belgrade native for the 16^th time with Djokovic leading the head-to-head series by 8-7.
