Chinese Taipei Open: Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo beats Hu Yun in Men’s Singles quarter-final

Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo, one of the most spirited players from Indonesia, displayed his elevated craft in the arena and managed to secure his place in Men’s Singles semi-final after showing exit to Hu Yun of Hong Kong in quarter-final clash at Chinese Taipei
Open GP Gold 2012 in Chinese Taipei, on October 5.

The un-seeded Wisnu, who remained struggling for almost one year to prove his worth at international level, showed a remarkable performance and remained successful in thrashing the fifth seeded Yun who could not prove his worth on court.

Indonesian shuttler remained on track while playing impressive badminton in the championship and defeated Yun in a tremendous fashion in rubber games by taking 71 minutes on the court time.

In the meanwhile, the higher ranked Yun showed his elite skills on court and also gave a good fight by failed to stop his rival from dominating the pace of rallies. He failed to dictate the pace of rallies in the ending game and lost the match with a respectable
score.

In the opening set of this crunchy competition, both players employed their hard-to-learn skills and stayed close all the way until the end of opening half.

In the concluding half, Wisnu tried to put up strong show but he could not live up to expectations and lost the set with a close margin of 19-21.

Yun failed to remain consistent in the following game as his rival became aggressive in all areas of the court and managed a reasonable lead until the break.

In the concluding part, Wisnu remained on track as he placed his shots in gaps quite well and took the set with a crushing margin of 21-12.

In the final set, the in-form Wisnu did not let his opponent to display a strong performance as he played with attacking approach and managed to set up a considerable lead until the break.

In the ending half, the Indonesian shuttler remained in lead against his rival by playing positive badminton and took the game with a margin of 21-17.

The impressive Wisnu emerged as the winner in this quarter-final clash with a superb 19-21, 21-12 and 21-17 margin on the score board.
