Adam Mendrek claims Men’s Singles U19 title at Croatian Junior International

Adam Mendrek, one of the most promising shuttlers from Czech Republic, lived up to the expectations as he claimed Men’s Singles U19 title after proving his worth against Jaromir Janacek at Croatian Junior International 2012 in Croatia, on October 7.

The higher ranked Adam, who was the second seeded player in Men’s Singles main draw of the tournament, played with tremendous precision and earned glory by consuming 29 minutes on court.

Adam was in his best form on court on the final day as he showed no mercy to his opponent and also managed to end up the contest in straight sets with a spectacular margin on score board.

In the meanwhile, the confused Jaromir could not show his tremendous run on court as he failed to cope up with the remarkable run of his opponent and eventually went down in straight sets without proving his brilliance on court.

The starting game of this opening set was interesting in the initial rallies but it was Adam who did not take much time in controlling the affairs of the game and started to dictate his challenger around the court.

The in-form Adam did not play negative shots and maintained pressure on Jaromir who failed to cope up with the impressive speed and perfection of his challenger.

Adam remained on track throughout the opening half of first game and remained successful in taking a wonderful lead until the mid-game interval.

In the concluding half of this set, the in-form Adam remained consistent in his smooth sailing by playing in the similar aggressive fashion and remained successful in snatching the set in a wonderful difference of 21-10.

In the second set, both shuttlers played good badminton but gradually Jaromir took over the control of rallies and started to construct a gap until the end of first part.

Adam was in dominating position in the concluding half of second game and started to unleash his impressive smashes and eventually ended up the second set in an inspiring fashion with a 21-15 score on the board.

The in-form Adam grabbed the title by finishing up in straight games with a one-sided difference of 21-10 and 21-15.
