Katinka Hosszu and Fabio Scozzoli win gold medals – 2012 FINA Swimming World Cup

Katinka Hosszu and Fabio Scozzoli won gold medal of the Women’s 400m Individual Medley (IM) and Men’s 100m breaststroke at the 2012 FINA/ARENA Swimming World Cup in Moscow.

Hosszu showed no leniency to her competitors in the distant discipline and surfaced on the finishing end for the title by submitting a time of 4 minutes and 30.14 seconds.

The gold medallist was followed by Zsuzsanna Jakabos, who remained 0.66 seconds apart and secured silver medal of the discipline by reporting an effort of 4 minutes and 30.80 seconds.

Jakabos was traced by Becca Mann, who suffered a deficit of 5.07 seconds from her foregoing finisher and occupied third position by submitting an effort of 4 minutes and 35.87 seconds.

Mann was chased by Celina Li, who remained substantially slower from her foregoing finisher and settled on the wall as fourth position holder by reporting a time of 4 minutes and 39.45 seconds.

Fifth finest spot of the race was obtained by Kristina Krasyukova of Russia, who was half body length away from improving her position and tapped the wall with the timing of 4 minutes and 40.18 seconds.

Afterwards, Scozzoli captured gold medal of the 100m discipline. He showered his expertise in the 100m event and proved his eligibility for the title by touching the wall with a wonderful timing of 58.32 seconds.

The champion was traced by Biaorong Gu, who remained 0.40 seconds away from upsetting his preceding swimmer and tapped the wall with a nice effort of 58.72 seconds for silver medal.

The silver medallist was trailed Sergei Geibel, who stayed only 0.17 seconds slower from his former finisher and tapped the wall for third position with an effort of 58.89 seconds.

Similarly, Geibel was chased by Sean Mahoney, who stayed 0.55 seconds apart and emerged on the finishing end for fourth position with a timing of 59.44 seconds.

In addition, the crowd appreciated notable efforts of all participants while the position holders received medals and accolades for their notable efforts at the victory ceremony of the event.
