Yao Jie gets better of Sabrina Jaquet in Women’s Singles first round at Bitburger Open

Netherland’s Yao Jie started her campaign in a staggering fashion as she showed a stunning performance in Women’s Singles first round when she slaughtered Switzerland’s Sabrina Jaquet at the Bitburger Open GP Gold 2012 on Wednesday, October 31, in Saarbrucken.

The lofty Jie, who is the second seeded shuttler in Women’s Singles draw of the tournament, played dominating badminton without showing any respect to her Swiss rival and easily bagged victory in a lopsided fashion by consuming just 24 minutes.

Dutch shuttler was in smashing form as she took the bird early from all areas and troubled her rival by executing powerful drives all the way to end up this fight in straight games with an incredibly one-sided margin on the board.

Poor Sabrina, on the other hand, was completely helpless against the power play of her higher ranked Dutch opponent and stayed miles behind on score board all the way. She lost she contest with a one-sided margin without proving her worth.

Jie played with terrific control in her shots and managed to occupy the pace of rallies from opening points of the first set.

The tempo of the rallies was very fast in opening set and Jie entertained local fans with her aggressive play.

It was similar situation in the second set as Jie continued her smooth sailing on court without dropping down the pace of rallies at any stage.

Jie was impressively fast and she did not face any problem in building a staggering lead until the one-minute break.

After the interval, Sabrina could not show resistance as her Dutch challenger played aggressive badminton to secure the game with a solid difference of 21-11.

The incredible Jie stamped her mark over Sabrina in a dominating manner by ending up the contest with a stunning difference of 21-12 and 21-11.
