Netherland’s impressive player Yao Jie showed her elevated class in the arena as she easily registered a comprehensive victory over Switzerland’s Sabrina Jaquet in Women’s Singles opening round clash at Bitburger Open GP Gold 2012, last month in Germany.

The in-form Jie, who was the second seeded shuttler in the main draw of the tournament, displayed her tremendous craft on court by playing attacking badminton and overpowered her Swiss rival by taking just 24 minutes in the arena.

Dutch shuttler was in impressive form on court as she played in a completely confident fashion and troubled her rival by executing powerful drives all the way to end up this fight in straight sets with a lopsided score.

On the other hand, the lower ranked Swiss shuttler found herself completely helpless as she could not tackle the power play of her higher ranked Dutch opponent and stayed miles behind throughout the battle.

The Swiss shuttler could not put up strong show and eventually lost the match in straight games without proving her mettle on court.

Jie played with impressive control in her shots in first set and managed to occupy the pace of rallies without facing any trouble.

Dutch player kept her rival under pressure by keeping up the pace of rallies and remained successful in setting up a huge lead at the initial stage.

Second seeded Jie did not show any mercy to her Swiss opponent in the first part and took a spectacular lead until the one-minute break.

In the concluding half, the in-form Jie remained comfortable in the arena as she played with the same speed while remaining composed in her play.

The aggressive Jie continued showing her elite skills in the arena and took the opening game with a stunning difference of 21-12.

In the following set, the higher ranked Dutch shuttler stayed in complete control of rallies as she did not drop down the pace of rallies at any stage and again took an early lead.

After the break, the underdog Sabrina could not put up strong show as her Dutch opponent was flawless in the arena.

In the meanwhile, Jie remained positive in all of her shots in the arena and remained successful in wrapping up the second set with a crushing 21-11 score on the board.

Jie eased into the second round after showing exit to Sabrina in opening round of the tournament with a tremendous margin of 21-12 and 21-11.
