Chloe Magee trounces Sarah Milne in Women’s Singles quarter-final at Irish International 2012

Ireland’s impressive shuttler Chloe Magee remained consistent in her superb performance in the arena and remained successful in reaching into Women’s Singles semi-final after trouncing England’s Sarah Milne in quarter-final clash at Irish International 2012 at Dublin, on Saturday, December 8.

The top seeded Magee, who remained outstanding throughout the tournament, continued putting up stunning show in the quarter-final clash and she overpowered her lower ranked challenger Sarah in just 35 minutes.

Magee had to work extra hard in the opening set but she sailed smoothly in the following game and remained successful in winning this quarter-final battle in straight games with a reasonable margin on the board.

On the contrary, Sarah failed to put up strong show against her local opponent as she could not stay positive and conceded many points.

The lower ranked English lady could not create pressure on her challenger at any stage and remained trailing far behind on the board.

In the starting set, both ladies put up smashing show in of top class badminton while remaining positive and quick in all areas of the court and no one could manage a comfortable lead until the end of opening half.

After the one-minute interval, the lower ranked Sarah tried her best to play positive badminton but she could not create trouble for her local rival and remained struggling.

The match progressed in the similar thrilling fashion and the score reached at 22-22 when Magee showed a wonderful performance and took the ending points to end up the set with a close margin of 24-22.

In the second game, the un-seeded Sarah worked hard to play positive badminton in starting points but she failed to create any difference.

Until the end of first half, the impressive Magee stayed miles ahead as she remained quick and focused and managed a wonderful lead.

After the break, the lofty Irish shuttler continued her power play and easily grabbed the second set with a big margin of 21-14.

Magee stayed confident in quarter-final battle and remained successful in winning it with a reasonable 24-22 and 21-14 score on the board.
