Nawaz Sharif says President Zardari wants political martyrdom

Following a clean-sweep victory in the recently held by-polls, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chairman Nawaz Sharif has said that President Asif Ali Zardari after failing to maintain peace and resolving people’s problems wanted political martyrdom.

The PML-N chief while addressing a public rally in Mailsi said Pakistan was in the grip of crises but it would once again be steered towards the path of prosperity by his party. He wondered who will steer Pakistan out of crises.

Nawaz Sharif said there was no gas or electricity in the country yet consumers received hefty bills, adding that he was sure his party would make a clean sweep of the upcoming general elections.

Pakistan had reached the highest level and billions of rupees were being embezzled on a daily basis, and the country’s accumulated debt in the last four years had gone beyond the loans acquired during the past 60 years, he added.

Continuing his onslaught against the government, the PML-N chief said that a country must have the courage to accept the failure of its government.  He accused the government of using the agriculture sector as a tool to increase inflation in Pakistan without check.

He pointed out the state of the railways, Pakistan International Airlines, Sindh, and Khyber-Pakthunkhwa. “Pakistan is burning, but the government is either busy making money or political statements,” he declared.

He noted, “In our tenure, there were no terrorism and suicide attacks. Balochistan situation got worse in the PPP tenure. Billions of rupees have been looted by the corrupt people, and profitable state institutions like PIA and Pakistan Railways are facing record losses now.”

Referring to neighbouring India, the PML-N chief said Pakistan should not be a rival to the country but rather a healthy competitor in terms of progress, prosperity and economic development.

He also ashed out at the controversial new Sindh Local Government Ordinance saying it had divided the province into two parts. Nationalist parties of Sindh have already rejected the new law saying that it was introduced to please a single party.

Nawaz did not forget to give a special mention to his brother, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, lauding him for ‘maintaining law and order in Punjab’. According to media estimates, more than 20,000 people came to attend the gathering from South Punjab.

  1. One thing I would really like to say is that often car insurance canceling is a terrifying experience so if you’re doing the correct things as being a driver you’ll not get one. Many people do are sent the notice that they have been officially dumped by their insurance company and several have to fight to get extra insurance after having a cancellation. Low-priced auto insurance rates tend to be hard to get after a cancellation. Having the main reasons pertaining to auto insurance canceling can help motorists prevent sacrificing one of the most important privileges accessible. Thanks for the concepts shared through your blog.
