Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday asked people of Karachi not to vote for any party that has a militant wing if they want to bring back peace in the city of lights.

Speaking to the media in Multan, the former cricketer turned politician said that his party has an alliance with the youth of Pakistan. “We have said it again and again that Karachi is being destroyed. The people of Karachi should decide not to vote for a party that has a militant wing,” he added.

The PTI chief, who is campaigning for the upcoming elections, has reverted to name-calling and playing the blame game. According to the party’s statement, Imran Khan is scheduled to visit more than 200 sub districts, towns and rural areas in 16 south Punjab districts as part of the PTI’s election campaign.

The former captain further stated that the youth will compete against looters in upcoming general elections of the country. Conspiracy is being hatched to win the elections by using money and the looters were going to contests the polls with the money they looted, he added.

He observed, “The youth will block the way of looters…old people will not be allowed to come in rule again.” He vowed to build new Pakistan and said that in his era the green passport would be respected across the world. The PTI will build a Pakistan where poor will be able to spend respectable life, he vowed.

He said that the PTI was the only party to conduct free and fair internal elections at which everyone had been given a chance to participate. He said that the PTI planned to strengthen the federation, while all other parties sought only to strengthen a particular province.

“You can see how all the other parties fear the PTI and we even have not even taken part in elections but they are still frightened,” he said.
