India International Challenge: Hyo Min Kim tames Yeni Asmarani in Women’s Singles quarter-final

Korea’s in-form player Hyo Min Kim showed her brilliance in the arena as she played with terrific speed and outplayed Indonesia’s Yeni Asmarani in Women’s Singles quarter-final at Tata Open India International Challenge 2012 on Friday, December 14, in India.

The in-form Hyo Min, who is un-seeded player in the championship, played to her maximum potential and gave a severe treatment to her Indonesian challenger who was sixth seed in the main draw.

Korean lady showed a great performance in the arena as she played with confidence throughout the battle and remained successful in winning this quarter-final clash in straight sets with a completely controlled total on the board.

Meanwhile, the higher ranked Indonesian lady failed to show up a strong performance as she could not cope up with the immense pressure and eventually went down to Hyo Min in straight games without proving her worth.

Hyo Min played with terrific control in her shots and managed to occupy the pace of rallies from opening rallies of the first set.

The tempo of the rallies was very fast in opening set and Hyo Min entertained local fans with her incredible skills.

It was Hyo Min who did not show any respect to her passionate opponent in the first part and took a spectacular lead in the arena.

The impressive Hyo Min remained comfortable in the arena after the mid-game interval as she played with the same speed.

Hyo Min continued executing powerful strokes in targeted areas and took the opening game with a stunning total of 21-10.

Things were not much different in the second set of this entertaining fight as Hyo Min played in the similar dominating fashion.

Hyo Min was impressively fast on court and she did not face any problem in building a staggering difference until the one-minute break.

Asmarani could not show resistance in the second game of this match as her challenger Hyo Min played aggressive badminton and secured the game with a smashing 21-12 score on the board.

Hyo Min easily stamped her supremacy over Asmarani in this quarter-final contest with a smashing margin of 21-10 and 21-12.
