PM Ashraf also announced that the Pakistan Peoples’ Party will be successful in the next general elections. He said that whenever the PPP took power, resources were always few and that despite the shortcomings the government has faced, it will complete its five year tenure, having tried to improve the situation.

“The PPP will continue its policy of reconciliation, and will also take on board its allies in the future,” he said. He also announced said that Bilawal Bhutto will address party workers on December 27 at Ghari Khuda Bux, on the occasion of Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary.

The premier said his party always rendered supreme sacrifices for the sake of democracy and the country. He said PPP’s policy of reconciliation had maintained the democratic process well on the track and the government is nearing to complete its five-year term.

The Prime Minister said PPP would surely win with thumping majority in the upcoming general elections on the basis of its best performance in the government and the public service.

He said when the PPP came into power in 2008‚ the country was importing wheat to cater to local needs‚ while there was a meager amount in the national exchequer to purchase furnace oil and the overall economic indicators were very weak.

The Prime Minister said the PPP had taken it as a challenge and after five years‚ Pakistan’s economic situation is far better with food security and now we are exporting the wheat commodity.

PM Ashraf said the growers and farmers received an additional benefit of five hundred billion rupees with the enhanced support prices of various crops including wheat by the government. The Prime Minister said government will introduce card system to control the overbilling of agriculture tube-wells that would further facilitate the farmers.
