Once Upon a Time

From the executive producers of Lost, Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, brought a new fairy tale adventure, Once Upon a Time, last year on ABC network. It lived up to its hype for its ongoing second season as well.

Once Upon a Time opened to ABC’s best ratings on its opening day, lifting ABC to its best performance in the time period in nearly three years. It opened when the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) curse Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Joshua Dallas) on their wedding day. Their only saviour is their unborn daughter Emma who will rescue them after she gets 28-year-old.

In the present day, Emma Swan (starred by Jennifer Morrison), a lonely bounty hunter and bail bondsman, is approached by a 10-year-old boy, Henry, on her twenty-eighth birthday. The boy identifies himself as her son and convinces Emma to go to his home in Storybrooke, Maine. Henry’s mother is actually the evil queen and Emma finds her suspicious, as a result she decides to stay in town for a week.

The show was also nominated for the 2012 People’s Choice Award for ‘Favourite TV Drama.’ In addition to this, the pilot episode was watched by 13 million viewers and received a 4.0 rating in Adults 18-49. It was also the season’s number one rated drama debut among Adults 18-49 and ABC’s biggest debut in five years.

One of the users praised the series on IMDB by stating,

“Such an AWESOME pilot! I really hope the story lines stay as interesting every week. While I do agree with some of the reviewers here about the fairy tale parts being a bit unbelievable, everything else was perfect. Even the fairy tale parts were acted well. Great cast with believable chemistry. I’ve been waiting for a show like this. As kids, we all grow up with these stories, it feels great to see it come to life mingled with reality. Definitely on my list every week from now. CANT wait for the rest of the season! WOOP!”

Overall, Once Upon a Time, is of great appeal and should be on everyone’s radar.
