Imran says he would defeat ‘fake leadership’

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has vowed to defeat the ‘fake leadership’ of Lahore, redeeming the hopes of those who had joined hands with him in bringing change in the country.

Speaking to a delegation headed by PTI leader Chaudhry Tariq Irshad Khan, he said that both PML-N and PPP had betrayed the masses, hoping that Punjab would be ruled by PTI rather than PML-N.

“The fake leadership has no gumption to face the tsunami of PTI, and the government was only concerned about its own personal interests”, he declared. He was also chagrined about the rote practice of criticising every verdict of Supreme Court, generated for rectifying the deteriorating law and order situation of Karachi.

“Those claiming to be ‘champions of democracy’ were themselves the biggest outlaws, but rest assured that masses are willing to offer sacrifices for integrity and independence of Judiciary”, he vowed.

Imran Khan said that the PML-N and PPP shared the same agenda and interests and thus were jointly active against the PTI’s pro-people drive. He urged the workers to get ready for the upcoming election because the system would be changed soon.

“In India, farmers are contributing in the progress of the country but in our country the rulers are adding to the miseries of the farmers. Nawaz Sharif ruled Punjab for 25 years but he did not contribute nothing for the public except corruption, insecurity and law and order situation,” he maintained.
