Katinka Hosszu and Maxime Bussiere secure gold medals – 2012 Indian Ocean Meet

Katinka Hosszu and Maxime Bussiere secured gold medals of the Women’s 100m backstroke and Men’s 50m breaststroke at the 2012 Indian Ocean Meet.

Hosszu continued her gold raking performance and snared the title by touching the wall with the timing of 1 minute and 00.44 seconds.

Her astonishing pace stayed one and a half body length ahead of her closest competitor, Aleksandra Putra of Poland, who stepped on the victory stand for silver medal by producing an effort of 1 minute and 02.83 seconds.

The second position holder was followed by Cloe Hache, who stayed more than a body length behind and surfaced on the finishing wall for third position by clocking a time of 1 minute and 04.07 seconds.

The bronze medallist was chased by Christelle Bertsch, who was 0.12 seconds slower and surfaced on the finishing end fourth place by locking a time of 1 minute and 04.19 seconds.

Fifth fastest spot of the race was obtained by Emma Morel, who was 1.18 seconds behind and emerged on the finishing end by clocking an effort of 1 minute and 05.37 seconds.

On the other hand, Bussiere captured gold medal of the 50m breaststroke. Bussiere earned a comfortable lead over his closest swimmer and touched the wall for gold medal with a timing of 28.45 seconds.

The champion was chased by Kevin Toulet, who was 1.59 seconds slower and touched the wall for silver medal by producing an effort of 30.04 seconds.

The silver medallist was traced by Darren Chan Chin Wah, who remained 0.10 seconds slower from his foregoing finishers and transpired on the finishing end for bronze medal by producing an effort of 30.14 seconds.

Fourth best spot of the event was obtained by Guillaume Ycard, who stayed 0.13 seconds slower and surfaced on the finishing wall with an effort of 30.27 seconds.

Ycard was chased by Oliver Ah Ching, who stayed almost half a body length behind and secured fifth place by producing an effort of 30.83 seconds.

In addition, the position holders received medals and accolades for their notable efforts at the victory ceremony of the event.
