The Polish coach arrived in Kathmandu with assistant Richard Orlowski for the National Team, as part of a deal with ANFA and new sponsors Plus One Fashion USA Corp.
Nepal has taken huge steps in revitalizing their Football Team and the signing of Jack Stefanowski has head coach will come as a great opportunity, with friendlies against Pakistan looming large.
Stefanowski was pleased with the appointment and claimed that he will try his best to improve the side’s performances on the International front.
“We are grateful to have the opportunity to come to Nepal and look forward to guiding the national team to success in international arena. We will see the players’ performance in the league and meet them before making plans for the Pakistan friendly matches. After that we will prepare the national team for the international tournaments in March and September,” added the Poland National.
While ANFA will not bear the cost of hiring the tacticians, they will provide the usual housing and other benefits that come with the package of hiring a foreign coach.
“Separately‚ ANFA will also provide the accommodation and local hospitality for coaches,” said Vice-president Lalit Krishna Shrestha.
Richard Orlowski claimed that he had found the major flaw in Nepali football and would look to make amends as soon he took charge.
“I have watched a couple of videos of the national team and we are hopeful of finding one player who can score goals to achieve success in international arena. We are going to work hard and Nepal are going to be a winning side. So far‚ I have found scoring as the problematic area in the Nepali football‚” Orlowski added.
