Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has said that the stance taken by Tahirul Qadri was not unjust but they would still not be taking part in the January 14 long march to Islamabad.

The cricketer-turned politician said his party will only move against the government if it fails to form a neutral caretaker setup without consensus or delays elections.

He noted, “We will not accept any setup formed without our consultation. We will not allow back-door dealings between the two major parties,” he said, referring to Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz PML-N).

The former captain said that without a neutral interim government, the Election Commission of Pakistan cannot conduct free and fair elections. Explaining Qadri’s agenda, he said his stance about reforms was just as the parties in parliament are conspiring to set an interim government of their choice so that they can come to power again.

Commenting about electoral alliances, Imran said PTI will negotiate with only those who are a part of the All Parties Democratic Movement but not with the parties sitting in the parliament

Replying to a query he ruled out any military solution to the pending issue between Pakistan and India. Khan said Kashmir was the bone of contention between the two neighbours and must be resolved for peace to prevail in the sub-continent.

“I have three former foreign ministers in my party and they have briefed me about the Kashmir issue, so I don’t think I will have any problem sorting it out once I come to power,” he added.

Earlier, he expressed grief over Qazi Hussain Ahmad’s death, saying said he was very much grieved over the sudden death of Qazi Hussain Ahmad but it was the will of Allah.

He visited the residence of Qazi Hussain Ahmad to offer Fatiha for the departed soul of Qazi Hussain Ahmad. Imran condoles with Qazi’s son Asfi Luqman Qazi and Jamat-e-Islami’s leadership.

He said that Qazi Hussain Ahmad was man of principal who set an example of selfless service for the people. He said that with the death of Qazi Hussain Ahmad he was deprived of sincere friend.
