Rebecca Zeiger and Kevin Doo win gold medals – 2012 CeraVe Invitational

Rebecca Zeiger and Kevin Doo won gold medal of the 200m freestyle in Women and Men’s 13-14 year olds category on first day of the 2012 CeraVe Invitational at Berkeley Aquatic Club.

Zeiger stayed considerably ahead of her following swimmer and surfaced on the finishing end for gold medal by producing an effort of 2 minutes and 12.39 seconds.

The champion was chased by Julien Zhu, who remained 0.61 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and surfaced on the wall for silver medal by touching the wall with an effort of 2 minutes and 13.00 seconds.

The silver medallist was followed by Cat Alabanza, who stepped on the finishing end for bronze medal by producing an effort of 2 minutes and 13.48 seconds.

Fourth best spot of the event was secured by Abigail Martin, who remained two and a half body length behind ns concluded her race in fourth place by reporting a time of 2 minutes and 15.93 seconds.

On the other hand, Doo dominated the title of similar event in Men’s corner. He remained nearly half body length ahead of his closest competitor and stepped on the victory stand for gold medal by touching the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 03.78 seconds.

The champion was trailed by Dylan Vanmanen, who stayed 0.75 seconds behind and transpired on the finishing end for silver medal by clocking an effort of 2 minutes and 04.53 seconds.

Third position of the swim was obtained by Connor Doyle, who was 1.02 seconds away from upsetting his preceding finisher and reached the wall for bronze medal with an effort of 2 minutes and 05.55 seconds.

The third fastest finisher was chased by Justin Torres, who stayed 0.99 seconds away from his former finisher and settled on the wall for fourth position by clocking a time of 2 minutes and 06.54 seconds.

Torres was trailed by jack McIntyre who was one and a half body length slower and surfaced on the wall for fifth position by clocking a time of 2 minutes and 07.92 seconds.

In addition, the position holders received medals and accolades at the prize distribution ceremony of the tournament.
