Arsene Wenger praises Arsenal after their FA Cup win over Swansea

Arsenal’s boss, Arsene Wenger, praised the Gunners after their spectacular display of football at the Emirates Stadium in their 1-0 win over Swansea.

The Red Army dominated throughout the match and created several chances. They squandered most of them but were able to get the breakthrough in the 86^th minute when Jack Wilshere fired the ball into the net.

Wenger praised the whole team after playing brilliantly throughout the battle against Swansea at the FA Cup third round replay:

“We had a better team balance tonight and created chance after chance, especially in the second half but even in the first half we created chances. It was unbelievable that we couldn’t score, but we got it in the end.”

The Frenchman also praised the English playmaker who was ruled out for entire last season with injuries:

“Yes, he was outstanding tonight. I felt many players played well. As a team we played well and he was in a different position, he was high up and it suits him well.”

Wenger also commented about Abou Diaby’s performance in this FA Cup victory, “We try to put a but more power in to defend better and it looked tonight like it worked well. Diaby responded well.”

Arsenal are currently standing sixth in the Barclays English Premier League and they lost 2-0 at their home ground against Manchester City in their last battle. Wenger told in an interview to Arsenal Player about the importance of getting into better position in the Premier League.

The Arsenal tactician reflected, “I would not like to think the Premier League is less important, we have to fight very hard to get back into a better position there.”

Arsenal will next face Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge this weekend. The Blues are standing at number three in the English Premier League.
