Major League Baseball Update

The New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman is still optimistic that they can still add some more fire power in their 40-man roster. He recently commented in the media and told reporters that the Yankees management has still many options for strengthening their current roster.

“I know it’s getting late, but we’re still looking, We’re open for business, but we’re not going to do something just to do something. If we have to, we’ll go to Tampa with what we’ve got,” GM Brian Cashman told on Thursday.

“Hey, we’ve got between now and July 31 to get something done,’’ Cashman added. “I’m sure something will develop. It always does.’’

Currently the Yankees have some very talented players who possess right abilities to achieve consistent results in the next big event. They have Brett Gardner along with Curtis Granderson and Ichiro Suzuki. The only vital players Yankees have lost so far are Raul Ibanez and Andrew Jones.

Left fielder Brett Gardner is a talented player and knows his game pretty well. Last season he was exceptional on the plate as well as in the field. He achieved good numbers in the last Major League Baseball competition and showed his true competitive style of play.

He finished the season on a high note by sustaining a good .323 hitting average along with three runs batted in (RBIs), and .417 OBP. Not only just in the last Major League outing but overall his career hitting average of .266 along 15 home runs, 125 RBIs and .355 OBP also makes him a good role player in the league as well as in the Yankees roster.

Curtis Granderson and Ichiro Suzuki are also very consistent players and will play a key role in the upcoming season. The Yankees centre fielder currently carries career .262 hitting average along with 210 home runs, 591 RBIs and .341 OBP.

Ichiro Suzuki is another master blaster who possesses good career .322 hitting average along with 104 home runs, 660 RBIs .365 OBP and will be showing his best skills in the upcoming big event in the biggest baseball league in the world.
