Malaysia’s top shuttler Lee Chong Wei continued his winning run in the arena and took the Men’s Singles title after crushing Indonesia’s Sony Dwi Kuncoro in the final encounter of Maybank Malaysia Open 2013 in Kuala Lumpur, on Sunday, January 20.

The World Number One Chong Wei, who won the Korea Open Premier Super Series 2013 in last week, continued showing up his superb skills and remained successful in winning the home title by taking just 32 minutes of court time.

The top seeded Malaysian played with incredible speed throughout the final battle and did not spare any chance for Kuncoro to put up strong resistance. He easily finished off the final battle and wrapped up a comprehensive victory with a one-sided margin of 21-7 and 21-8.

On the other hand, the eighth seeded Kuncoro could not continued his giant killing run in the final of the championship as he failed to cope up with the speed and perfection of Chong Wei and went down in a lopsided way.

Chong Wei performed extremely well from the initial rallies of first game as he played with wonderful speed and took over the control of the game.

The Malaysian man showed that he is the best on court and ultimately successful in taking a strong position in the arena.

Chong Wei advanced with an impressive speed in the first half and remained in lead on score board until the interval.

The confused Kuncoro failed to create trouble for his rival after the one-minute break as he lost his focus in the arena.

Top seeded Chong Wei did not slow down the pace of the game at any stage and comfortably grabbed the first game with a sound 21-7 margin on the board.

Things were not much different in the second game of this entertaining match as Chong Wei played in the similar dominating manner.

The hard to return smashes and wonderful net play kept Chong Wei ahead of his challenger all the way until the end of first part in second set.

Chong Wei played aggressive badminton and took the set with a stunning margin of 21-8 and sealed off a spectacular victory.
