Chloe Sutton and Ryan Cochrane secure gold medals – Austin Grand Prix

Chloe Sutton and Ryan Cochrane secured gold medals of the Women and Men’s 400m freestyle respectively on opening day of the 2013 Austin Grand Prix.

Sutton stayed full body length ahead of her following swimmer and transpired on the finishing end for gold medal by producing a time of 4 minutes and 09.35 seconds.

She was followed by Barbara Jardin, who was 0.88 seconds slower and surfaced on the finishing end for silver medal by producing a time of 4 minutes and 10.27 seconds.

Jardin was trailed by Quinn Carrozza, who experienced a loss of almost 0.90 seconds from her former finisher and tapped the wall for bronze medal by producing a time of 4 minutes and 11.16 seconds.

Fourth finest spot of the race was gained by Missy Franklin, who remained 1.40 seconds behind and posted a time of 4 minutes and 12.56 seconds.

Franklin was chased by Alexa Komarnycky, who was 0.15 seconds slower and transpired on the finishing end by submitting a time of 4 minutes and 12.71 seconds for fifth position.

On the other hand, Cochrane occupied the title of equivalent event in Men’s corner. Cochrane faced tough challenge from his following finisher and tapped the wall for gold medal with an effort of 3 minutes and 52.07 seconds.

Cochrane was followed by Michael McBroom, who was 0.34 seconds slower and surfaced on the wall for silver medal by producing an effort of 3 minutes and 52.41 seconds.

McBroom remained only two and a half body lengths slower from Michael Klueh, who surfaced on the wall for third position by touching the wall with the timing of 3 minutes and 54.82 seconds.

Fourth best position of the event was obtained by Tyler Clary, who remained almost 0.34 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and reached the wall with an effort of 3 minutes and 55.16 seconds.

In addition, the position holders received medals and accolades for their notable efforts at the victory ceremony of the tournament while the session ended after the completion of all events.
