Nicole Schaller beats Laura Sarosi in Women’s Singles battle at European Mixed Team Championships

Switzerland’s experienced shuttler Nicole Schaller found a perfect start on court as she played flawless badminton and easily overpowered Hungary’s Laura Sarosi in Women’s Singles battle at European Mixed Team Championships 2013 on Tuesday, February 12, in Russia.

Swiss lady was on a completely different level in the arena as she did not show any mercy to her Hungarian challenger throughout the battle and easily wrapped up a comprehensive victory in just 21 minutes.

Schaller played attacking badminton while remaining fast in all areas of the court and remained successful in crushing her challenger in straight games with a completely one-sided 21-13 and 21-8 score on the board.

Sarosi, on the other hand, failed to match the skills of her experienced Swiss challenger. She tried to show aggression by playing attacking badminton but failed to create an impact and eventually lost the battle without making her presence strongly felt.

Schaller showed a wonderful aggression on court from the initial points of first game by building a remarkable pressure on her Hungarian opponent.

The tempo of the rallies was quite fast in first game and Schaller impressed local crowd with her incredible skills that enabled her to stay on the driving seat.

Until the end of first part of opening game, the in-form Schaller attained a strong position on board by setting up a sufficient gap.

The battle proceeded in the same fashion after the mid-game interval and Schaller did not lose her focus at any stage and remained in complete control.

It was an uninterrupted ride for the in-form Schaller who did not face any considerable fight from her opponent and won the first game with a staggering 21-13 difference on the board.

Things were not much different in the second set of this entertaining contest as Schaller played in the similar attacking fashion and easily wrapped up an early lead.

The perfectly executed smashes and wonderful net play kept the in-form Schaller ahead of her challenger all the way until the one-minute interval in second game.

Schaller was quick and positive in the arena in the ending points of second set and won the second set with a spectacular 21-8 score on the board.
