Line Kjaersfeldt beats Sarah Walker in 2013 European Mixed Team Championships

Women’s Singles player Line Kjaersfeldt displayed great fighting spirit and clinched a crucial match point from Sarah Walker in European Mixed Team Championships on February 16, 2013.

This meeting was part of a match between Denmark and England. Both female shuttlers challenged each other in three gruelling sets and made this a memorable contest.

Though, the British campaigner won the opening match point but she could not make best out of her advantage and surrendered after reading decisive figure of 16-21, 21-13 and 21-18.

Meanwhile, Line Kjaersfeldt ruled the court n most part of this 47-minute tussle and sealed an impressive win.

In first set of the match, both players employed all they had to establish an early lead but neither of them could make a significant difference.

They remained toe-to-toe in few establishing rallies but then Sarah Walker struck hard and tipped the scale in her favour.

At first, she mounted pressure by registering a convincing margin of 11 and then magnified the impact by piling up a winning total of 21-16.

However, it proved her last success in this match as the Danish campaigner did not give her a single chance to proceed in the following games.

In the second set, Line played with an authoritative approach and kept her rival under control until the game point situation. She maintained a significant difference of eight points and swept the table with 21-13 score.

The decider became crucial for both contenders as they were looking for this final match point to claim the victory.

They stood toe-to-toe in most part of the game but then Line Kjaersfeldt gained the right momentum and left her competitor far behind. She placed a tight yet decisive figure of 21-18 and wrapped this showdown in a favourable manner.
