Missy Franklin and Yannick Lebherz secure gold medals – Arena Grand Prix

Missy Franklin and Yannick Lebherz secured gold medals of the 200m freestyle in Women and Men’s corner respectively on first day of the 2013 Arena Grand Prix.

She enjoyed an advantage of almost two seconds over her closest competitor and surfaced on the finishing end for first position with the timing of 1 minute and 58.01 seconds.

The champion was chased by Samantha Cheverton, who stayed 2.09 seconds behind and emerged on the finishing end for silver medal by touching the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 00.10 seconds.

The silver medallist was traced by Becca Mann, who was only 0.17 seconds away from improving her position and finished third in the race by touching the wall with an effort of 2 minutes and 00.28 seconds.

Fourth finest spot of the race was trailed by Barbara Jardin, who stayed more than half a body length behind and touched the wall with an effort of 2 minutes and 00.92 seconds.

Jardin was followed by Nicole Stafford, who remained nearly two seconds slower and clocked a time of 2 minutes and 02.86 seconds for fifth place.

On the other hand, Lebherz occupied gold medal of the similar event in Men’s corner. His notable pace stayed almost half a body length ahead of his toughest challenger, as Lebherz occupied gold medal by producing an effort of 1 minute and 49.48 seconds.

He was traced by Conor Dwyer and Robert Hurley, who stayed 0.33 seconds slower from their preceding swimmer and surfaced on the wall for silver medals by clocking an effort of 1 minute and 49.81 seconds.

Fourth fastest spot of the race was gained by Michael Klueh, who stayed nearly full body length slower and tapped the wall with the timing of 1 minute and 50.61 seconds.

Sixth best spot of the event was secured by Tyler Clary, who was 0.21 seconds slower from his former finisher and tapped the wall with an effort of 1 minute and 50.99 seconds.

Furthermore, the position holders received medals and accolades at the victory ceremony of the event.
