Dana Vollmer and Tyler McGill grabs gold medals – Arena Grand Prix

Dana Vollmer and Tyler McGill grabbed gold medals of the 100m butterfly in Women and Men’s category on first day of the 2013 Arena Grand Prix.

Vollmer remained in a half body length ahead of her closest competitor and surfaced on the finishing end for gold medal by producing a time of 58.91 seconds.

The gold medallist stayed 0.45 seconds faster from Jeanette Otteson, who climbed on the medal rostrum for silver medal by clocking a time of 59.36 seconds.

The silver medallist was chased by Audrey Lacroix, who was 0.34 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and finished third in the race by submitting a time of 59.71 seconds.

Fourth fastest spot of the event was obtained by Missy Franklin, who remained 1.49 seconds slower and settled on the wall with an effort of 1 minute and 01.20 seconds.

On the other hand, McGill occupied gold medal of the same event in Men’s corner. He stayed in a prominent lead over his challengers and made his way to the finishing end for gold medal by producing an effort of 53.38 seconds.

The gold medallist was trailed by Ryan Lochte, who remained 1.02 seconds slower from him and occupied silver medal of the race by touching the wall with an effort of 54.40 seconds.

Lochte was chased by Santo Condorelli, who stayed 0.22 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and surfaced on the wall for bronze medal by producing an effort of 54.62 seconds.

Fourth best spot of the event was secured by Peng Wu, who stayed only 0.01 seconds slower from his preceding swimmer and surfaced on the finishing end for fourth place by reporting a time of 54.63 seconds.

Wu was followed by Zack Chetrat, who stayed only 0.36 seconds apart and surfaced on the finishing wall for fifth place by submitting a time of 54.99 seconds.

Furthermore, the arena appreciated notable forms of all participants while the position holders received medals and accolades for their commendable efforts at the victory ceremony after the session.
