Jazztel net profit grows 22%

Jazztel have recorded a net profit of 62 million Euros in 2012, representing an increase of 22% compared to the result of 2011. Meanwhile, their revenue increased by 21% in 2012, to 908.6 million Euros.

The telecom operator, one of the participants in the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona,
??explained on Wednesday that its profit surge corresponds to the significant changes in operating profitability as well as the progressive decrease in financial expenses. 

The company stressed that they will try to continue repaying its debt in bonds after increasingly using bank financing type leases with a cheaper cost. Their
net debt has been reduced by 39% compared to 2011.

The ADSL customer base assets (in service) customers stood at 1,317,591, which represents an increase of 20% compared to 2011 and 215,069 new customers during the year. The base of mobile
services (voice and data) stood at 343,240 at the end of 2012 service.

The company’s investments amounted to 108.8 million Euro represent an increase of 19% in 2012 as compared to the previous year. The company said it has started rolling out its fiber network
investment of 91.2 million Euros in 2011.
