Soria expecting 4G technology to reach Spain until next year

Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, Jose Manuel Soria, has indicated on Tuesday that Spain is a country of opportunity and thanked to the reform agenda being carried out by the Government for improving competitiveness
within the country.

The minister reiterated that the government is showing utmost commitment in trying to bring the arrival of 4G networks until next year. The lady minister was delighted and expected the phone operators to reap huge dividends
and advantage from this master piece innovation.

Soria made these comments in the framework of the Mobile World Congress and highlighted
the importance of the project of the Mobile World Capital of Barcelona as spearhead that captures the attention of international investors to Spain wishing to undertake new developments or initiatives.

The minister reiterated the government’s commitment to bring forward the arrival of the new fourth generation networks (4G), which promote the development of economic activity and job creation linked to the opportunities
presented by the digital economy for Spain.

The minister told journalists that the Government will push the pedal to the medal in order to accelerate the ‘digital dividend’ by one year for frequency-liberalization television for fourth generation mobile technologies.
