Marina Garcia Urzainqui and Giacomo Perez Dortona earned gold medals of the 100m breaststroke in Women and Men’s corner at the 2013 Mediterranean Meet.

Urzainqui stayed more than one and a half a body length ahead of her closest competitor and surfaced on the finishing end for gold medal by producing an effort of 1 minute and 09.33 seconds.

The champion was chased by Elisa Celli, who stayed 1.45 seconds apart and touched the wall for silver medal by producing a time of 1 minute and 10.78 seconds.

Celli was traced by Jessica Vall Montero, who remained 0.06 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and tapped the wall for bronze medal by posting a time of 1 minute and 10.84 seconds.

Fourth spot of the event was obtained by Coralie Dobral, who stayed 0.66 seconds apart and transpired on the finishing end with an effort of 1 minute and 11.50 seconds.

Dobral was followed by Erica Varini, who stayed nearly four seconds apart and occupied fifth fastest spot of the event by reporting an effort of 1 minute and 15.29 seconds.

On the other hand, Dortona occupied gold medal of the event in Men’s corner. He remained in a comfortable lead over his following swimmer and touched the wall for gold medal with the timing of 1 minute and 01.48 seconds.

The first position holder was traced by Francesco Di Lecce, who was 0.46 seconds slower and hit the finishing end for silver medal with an effort of 1 minute and 01.94 seconds.

The silver medallist was chased by Maxime Bussiere, who was nearly two seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and tapped the wall for bronze medallist with an effort of 1 minute and 01.94 seconds.

Fourth best spot of the event was secured by Geoffrey Ferrari, who stayed 0.47 seconds slower from his former finisher and clocked an effort of 1 minute and 04.60 seconds.

Fifth position of the swim was gained by Juan Jose Garcia Mesa of Spain, who remained 0.90 seconds slower and surfaced on the finishing end with an effort of 1 minute and 05.51 seconds.

In addition, the position holders received medals after the event.
