Dieter Domke punishes Christoph Heiniger in Men’s Singles first round of Swiss Open 2013

Germany’s talented player Dieter Domke found a perfect start in Men’s Singles first round where he outplayed his local challenger Christoph Heiniger at the Swiss Open 2013 in Switzerland, on Tuesday, March 12.

German man was on a completely different level as he played with impressive confidence and remained successful in thrashing his Swiss challenger in a lopsided fashion while consuming just 21 minute on court.

Domke was in smashing form as he did not miss any chance to earn points and he also kept the pace of rallies at the highest level. He remained in complete command all the way and easily ended up this straight-set contest with a huge total of 21-6 and 21-10.

The local shuttler, in the meanwhile, could not show his brilliance at any stage in this opening round clash. He failed to play positive badminton and also remained unable to match the speed of his German challenger. He eventually lost the match without even getting close.

Domke delivered extremely well from the starting points of first set as he played with remarkable speed and grabbed the control of the game. The tempo of the rallies was very fast in starting game and Domke entertained local fans with his incredible skills.

Until the end of first part of first set, the incredible Domke stayed on the driving seat and achieved a strong position on score board by setting up a huge gap.

After the mid-game interval, the in-form Domke stayed focused in the arena and remained successful in keeping a comfortable gap. The positive and attacking play of Domke helped him to bag the first game with a staggering margin of 21-6.

In the following game of this Men’s Singles clash, the Swiss shuttler was again in trouble as he failed to find a good rhythm and remained unable to match the speed of his challenger at any stage.

On the contrary, the perfectly executed smashes and net killings kept Domke ahead of his local rival all the way until the end of first half in second game.

After the break, Garman shuttler continued his comfortable and dominating run on court and he easily bagged the second set by a lopsided margin of 21-10.
