Polish Open 2013: Michal Rogalski brushes aside Pavel Florian in Men’s Singles first round

Poland’s Michal Rogalski cheered his home fans with his aggressive approach in the arena as he outplayed Czech Republic’s Pavel Florian in Men’s Singles first round at the Polish International 2013 on Friday, March 22, in Warsaw.

The local shuttler, who has been playing remarkable badminton for the last few months, played with smashing speed and impressive precision against Pavel and remained successful in finishing up the match in just 24 minutes.

Michal was in wonderful form as he took the bird early from all areas and remained in impressive control of rallies. He was confident in playing attacking badminton and finished off the match in straight games with a dictating margin of 21-11 and 21-12.

Pavel, in the meanwhile, failed to respond well to the power play of his Polish challenger at any stage in the whole battle. He could not put up strong show at any stage in this opening round contest and eventually crashed out without making his presence felt.

It was a wonderful fight in the starting stage of this opening round contest when Michal showed a wonderful display of his craft in the arena.

The speed of the rallies was very fast in first set and Michal easily set up an early lead without facing even a meager resistance from his challenger.

Having the support of home fans, Michal did not show any sign of confusion as he remained in complete command of the pace until the end of first half where he was miles ahead on the board.

The match progressed in the similar manner after the mid-game interval because Michal did not let his rival to catch up the deficit as he played attacking badminton and remained successful in staying ahead.

It was an uninterrupted ride for the in-form Michal who did not face any tough opposition from his rival and won the first game with a comfortable 21-11 difference on the board.

In the second game, the in-form local shuttler played in the similar manner without dropping down his speed at any stage. He was in complete command of rallies and pushed his rival in all areas of the court.

The perfectly executed smashes and spinning net shots kept Michal ahead of his rival all the way until the end of first half in second game.

Michal was quick and positive on court in the concluding points of second set and he easily won it with a stunning 21-12 total on the score board.
