Jeanette Ottesen and Molly Renshaw secure gold medals – British International

Jeanette Ottesen and Molly Renshaw secured gold medals of the Women’s 50m butterfly and 200m breaststroke respectively at the 2013 British International.

She was in a lead of half body length over her strongest opponent and occupied gold medal of the race by producing an effort of 25.76 seconds.

The gold medallist was followed by Francesca Halsall, who was 0.24 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and tapped the wall with the timing of 26.00 seconds for second place.

The second position holder was traced by Emma Wilkins, who remained 0.98 seconds slower from her former finisher and tapped the wall with an effort of 26.98 seconds for third position.

Fourth best spot of the race was secured by Amy Smith, who stayed 0.18 seconds away from her preceding swimmer and hit the wall with the timing of 27.16 seconds.

Smith was chased by Sian Harkin, who remained 0.11 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and tapped the wall with the timing of 27.27 seconds for fifth place.

On the other hand, Renshaw captured the title of distant breaststroke discipline. With her astounding pace, she remained nearly two body lengths ahead of her toughest challenger and posted an effort of 2 minutes and 28.25 seconds.

The champion was chased by Stacey Tadd, who remained 2.28 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and cruised her way towards the finishing end for silver medal by producing a time of 2 minutes and 30.53 seconds.

The silver medallist was followed by Kerry Buchan, who remained 0.29 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and tapped the wall with an effort of 2 minutes and 30.82 seconds for bronze medal.

Fourth spot of the race was gained by Sophie Taylor, who was 1.11 seconds apart and settled on the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 31.93 seconds.

Taylor was trailed by Georgina Evans, who remained 0.65 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and posted an effort of 2 minutes and 32.58 seconds for fifth place.

In addition, the position holders received medals and accolades at the victory ceremony of the tournament.
