PPP’s Syed Zahid Bokhari Advocate awarded NA-126 Ticket

While it had been rumored for weeks, the Pakistan People’s Party has awarded a party ticket to Syed Zahid Bokhari Advocate to contest elections for the National Assembly slot from NA-126 Lahore.

Considered to be the underdog in the race, the PPP has taken an aggressive step to put up a common man from the area against the PML-N and PTI platform from which Umer Sohail Zia Butt and Mian Mehmood-ur-Rashid are to contest, respectively.  Syed Zahid Bokhari is expected to put up a tough fight for the seat and may even grab it for the PPP this time around due to his reputation of working for the people of the area and having done so for the past 30-plus years as a resident in the constituency.

It will definitely be interesting to see how the big wigs may just underestimate the PPP too much and ultimately, be taken down by the man who has refused to change his loyalty based on personal interests and just might be getting ready to finally pick the fruit of that dedication.
