No load-shedding during “Iftar, Sehri, taraweeh:

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has said there will be no load shedding during ‘Sehri‚’ ‘Iftar’ and ‘Taraveeh’ in the month of Ramazanul Mubarak.

He was talking to media after meeting a delegation of Electronic Media Reporters Association in Lahore on Saturday.

The Minister said economic stability‚ overcoming energy crisis‚ and establishing peace in the country are the topmost priorities of the government.

He said 1‚700 megawatts electricity will soon be added to national grid‚ which will reduce load shedding to a considerable extent.

To a question‚ he said the government will ensure to import Liquefied Natural Gas or LNG to meet increasing demand of gas in the country.

Pervaiz Rashid said awarding capital punishment to criminals committing heinous crimes is in accordance with the country’s laws.

He said the PML-N government believes in provincial autonomy‚ but will provide every assistance to provinces to maintain law and order.

He said all political parties are united to rid the country of lawlessness and terrorism and we all want to see Pakistan a peaceful state.

He said the government will fulfill its promises during the five-year mandate given to the PML-N by the nation.The Minister said drone attacks are violation of the country’s sovereignty and independence and also kill innocent citizens.
