Oil tankers, parked outside a roadside hotel, were attacked with rockets by the unidentified men, residents said.

Nine oil tankers caught fire and the fire could not be extinguished due to the late arrival of the fire fighters. TV footage showed burning vehicles.

Officials said that the tankers were heading to Afghanistan from the Pakistani port city of Karachi when came under attack.

No group claimed responsibility. Militants groups are blamed for attacks on NATO trucks.
