Sindh Government has submitted a plea in the Supreme Court to extend the election date of local bodies within the province.

Sources claim that the provincial government has asked for this to happen due to the holidays that will take place during the month of Moharram-ul-Haram.

The petition asks the Supreme Court to delay the elections up until 7th of December.

Sindh Government is of the opinion that not only will they be caught up during the month of Moharram because of the holidays at hand; in fact, they believe that the preparations required for the 9th and 10th of the holy month is going to require a lot of time.

Therefore, the elections are expected to be delayed until the 7th of December. However, the Supreme Court still has to decide on the final date of the elections.
