Supreme Court demanded a name of one judge from all the high courts of the country. From the five judges which have been selected, Yehya Afridi will be representing the Peshawar High Court.

The case at hand is of General Pervez Musharraf, who is being trialled over treason under Article 6, which claims that his military coup was most definitely not needed during the time.

Chief Justice, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, was the one who asked all the high courts to put forward names of judges which they deem worthy of this case. The Supreme Court itself nominated three judges of the higher judiciary in order to start the trial. Article 6 claims Musharraf subverted the Constitution while imposing the emergency and Provisional Constitutional Order (PCO) on November 3, 2007.

The full list of nominations will be given to the Supreme Court on Tuesday.
