Libya: 40 killed in weapon cache after explosion

It is being reported from Libya that an explosion took place inside a weapon cache right outside the Eastern City and it left 40 dead.

 

Officials claim that during the time the blast took place, there were intruders within the vicinity of the building and they were trying to loot and smuggle the ammunition out.

AFP further adds that in a nearby place, Benghazi, a gunman tried to attack a checkpoint which was guarded by marines. During the process, the man was able to kill three and wound three. There was no further information shared by the officials as they were not allowed to share any information with the journalists.
