The Premier League saw quite a lot of breath-taking results over the weekend. Chelsea lost the game to Stoke while Manchester City picked up a draw against Southampton. Moreover, the current champions lost another game at Old Trafford as they had no answer for Newcastle’s Yohan Cabaye.

The most shocking result was seen at the home stadium of Stoke City, where Chelsea lost in the dying moments of the game.

Chelsea were favourites to win the match against Stoke City, yet they still lost 3-2, with Oussama Assaidi scoring in the 90th minute.

Chelsea were able to start strong as their newly signed German star player, Schurrle, seemed to be on the giving end of the bargain. The Chelsea star scored in the 9th minute to give his side the lead. However, Crouch scored in the dying moments of the first half to put Stoke on level terms with League favourites. Later, Ireland gave Stoke City the lead which they deserved.

Schurrle was once again spot on as he scored in the 53rd minute to put Chelsea on level terms with Stoke. While everyone in the stadium thought that Chelsea are going to pick a point from this physical and difficult away fixture, Assaidi thought otherwise. The Stoke player managed to get past Ivanovic on the left wing and scored a stunner to help his side pick all three points from the fixture.

Chelsea are now five points behind the league leaders, Arsenal, and level on points with the second positioned side, Liverpool.
