Egypt Claims that Muslim Brotherhood is a Terrorist Group

Currently Egypt is operating under a military-backed interim government. However, there have been several cases recently where people have lost their lives after bomb explosions. Therefore, the current Egypt government has claimed that the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist group as they believe that all these incidents are taking place because of them. Moreover, the government has also stated that they must take a dramatic action in order to escalate the operation which must take place in order to crack them down.

While talking about the whole situation, the Higher Education Minister, Hossam Eissa, said:

 “The Cabinet has declared the Muslim Brotherhood group and its organization as a terrorist organization.”

He further added that the declaration is going to punish everyone who belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood group. He also stated that anyone who is funding or financing the group’s activities is also going to face the same fate.

The Muslim Brotherhood is the same group that managed to oust the former President of Egypt, Mohammed Morsi. Later, back on July 3^rd, a military coup helped this group turn against the Government of the country.

Authorities have claimed that the entire militant attacking taking place in the country is being done by the Muslim Brotherhood. However, the group has openly denied that they have not done anything to harm the people of the country.
