It has been reported from Karachi that the Sindh Government has made a decision on the closure of CNG stations during the upcoming week. It has been decided that all CNG stations are going to remain open on Monday even though there were rumours that they might close down for at least the coming two three weeks.

Due to a shortage in the gas supply, the Sindh Government took an action regarding all the CNG stations. It was stated by the spokesman that household gas is far more necessary as compared to the gas which is being supplied in the CNG stations; therefore, they decided to cut down the supply not only in Sindh but throughout Pakistan.

Islamabad, Rawalpindi, most of Punjab, and Sindh are experiencing gas shortages. However, after closing the CNG stations for two straight days, they were reopened on Sunday and there were long queues at the filing stations throughout Sindh.

The CNG Association and Karachi Transport, Ittehad, also decided to call their strike off in which they decided to unplug CNG supply to the stations for two days straight. They have now stated that they will discuss the issue with the Sindh government personally.
